Heirloom Spoon is the celebration of traditional woodcraft in its simplest form
Adam Birchweaver creates his work using age old carving techniques he picked up through years of experimentation and dashes of inspiration from Grandpa Lulham, Barn the Spoon and the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-sabi.
Adam has shifted seasonally in and out of this craft for nearly a decade, and spent a number of years travelling and selling spoons in markets across Canada. He has made masks, bowls, cups, küksas, forks, chairs, bows, arrows, atlatls, and a lot more!
Since 2017, Adam has offered workshops with the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD).
We are now scheduling for 2021 workshops at our Homestead Studio and will offer both private and group sessions.
